The Role

We’re looking for a Strategic Account Manager who will work directly with our customers, primarily our more strategic and highest priority merchant accounts that require a top notch subject matter expert and relationship-builder. This role will manage large accounts to get them trained on best practices to offer Wisetack as their go-to financing option and continuously engage with their teams to scale and grow their financing volume.

This position will have aggressive but attainable goals tied to merchant activation and loan volume, and in turn be instrumental in driving revenue-generating activity for the company. They’ll benefit from collaborating and sharing resources and feedback cross-functionally, as well as being able to prioritize and manage a variety of external relationships; bringing a friendly, versatile, and eager mentality will be critical to attaining success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of merchants to foster long-term relationships, measured by increase in financing volume and share of wallet with each merchant.
  • Support business development and partnerships in closing new deals and assist with the onboarding to Wisetack.
  • Help new and existing merchants get up to speed quickly on our offerings.
  • Communicate merchant needs and feedback to the broader organization (especially product, marketing, and partnerships).
  • Actively collaborate with the support and customer operations team to ensure we’re doing what we can to create consistent experiences, sharing learnings, and consolidating feedback. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in a quota-carrying, customer-facing role, such as account management, sales, or customer success
  • 2+ years of experience in consumer financing, lending, financial technology or home services software 
  • Comfort with the types of technology we use as a team: Salesforce, Tableau, Salesloft, Slack, Google Suite, and Confluence, to name a few
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to drive efficiency and scale account management workflow 
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), with the ability to adapt your style for different stakeholders, from technical teams to executives
  • A growth-oriented mindset, you thrive in dynamic environments and can pivot quickly to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Proven ability to drive growth and manage large, high-visibility accounts
  • Where necessary, meet with merchants onsite

The range of base salary for the position is between $90,000 - $126,000, plus $22,000 annual discretionary bonus, equity, and benefits.
