POSITION OVERVIEW 

Zarminali Pediatrics is seeking Family and Pediatric Nurse Practitioners to join our compassionate team at our Huntsville, Alabama clinic. This role is ideal for motivated clinicians who thrive in fast-paced settings, love working with kids, and want to make a meaningful impact in pediatric care.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

As an Advanced Practice Clinician at Urgent Care for Children you will focus on:   

  • Acute Pediatric Care: Deliver timely evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for non-emergent pediatric illnesses and injuries.
  • Clinical Decision Making: Apply sound clinical judgment to determine appropriate interventions, diagnostic testing, and follow-up care plans.
  • Family Centered Communication: Clearly and compassionately educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and next steps.
  • Documentation: Ensure accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of patient encounters in compliance with clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with fellow clinicians and support staff to provide coordinated, efficient, and safe care while fostering a positive patient and family experience.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: 

  • Education & Certification: Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing (or related field) with NP or PA certification; active state license, DEA registration, and BLS/ACLS required.
  • Experience & Skills: Minimum 2 years in pediatrics or urgent care preferred. Strong clinical judgment, ability to provide evidence-based care, and comfort managing a wide range of acute pediatric cases. Proficiency with EMR systems and common software tools.
  • Communication & Teamwork: Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate families and work effectively within a team.
  • Schedule & Hours: Full-time clinicians work 14 shifts per month. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday 12:00–8:00 p.m. and Saturday–Sunday 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with some flexibility and occasional coverage at other clinics. (Hours subject to operational needs.)
  • Clinic Environment: Clinics feature on-site x-ray, rapid testing (flu, RSV, etc.), and lab services. Locations are in vibrant and family-friendly communities.
