Key Takeaways

  • 75% of U.S. employers use automated applicant tracking systems to screen resumes before a human reviews them (Harvard Business School & Accenture, 2021)
  • The most common ATS failures are missing keywords, incompatible formatting, and incorrect file types
  • ResumeGeni scores your resume across 8 parsing layers — modeled on the same steps enterprise ATS platforms like Workday, Greenhouse, and Taleo use to evaluate candidates

How ATS Resume Scoring Works

Applicant tracking systems parse your resume into structured data — extracting your name, contact info, work history, skills, and education — then score how well that data matches the job requirements. Many ATS rejections happen because the parser couldn't extract critical fields, not because the candidate wasn't qualified.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is ResumeGeni free?
Yes. ResumeGeni is currently in beta — ATS analysis, scoring, and initial improvement suggestions are free with no signup required. Full guidance and saved reports may require a free account.
What file formats are supported?
PDF, DOCX, DOC, TXT, RTF, ODT, and Apple Pages. PDF and DOCX are recommended for best ATS compatibility.
How is the ATS score calculated?
Your resume is processed through an 8-layer parsing pipeline that extracts structured data the same way enterprise ATS platforms do. The score reflects how completely and accurately your resume can be parsed, plus how well your content matches common ATS ranking criteria.
Can ATS read PDF resumes?
Yes, but not all PDFs are equal. Text-based PDFs parse well. Image-only PDFs (scanned documents) and PDFs with complex tables or multi-column layouts often fail ATS parsing. Our analyzer will flag these issues.
How do I improve my ATS score?
Focus on three areas: use a clean single-column format, include keywords from the job description naturally in your experience bullets, and ensure all sections (contact, experience, education, skills) use standard headings.

MarTech Lead

Transfergo · Vilnius, Lithuania

TransferGo is a growing fintech scale-up on a mission to champion financial freedom with care. We strive to provide tailored, more affordable financial services that make people's hard-earned money go further. Now in our 14th year, with close to 400 employees in offices across Europe and the UK, we’re crafting a brilliant, relevant product that makes a difference in people's lives and the well-being of their families.

We’ve come this far by building a talented, diverse workforce on a fair culture and our strong values. Having this strong team of employees, we can serve those who really need our product to make their lives better.

Role Purpose

The MarTech Lead will be the technical anchor for our marketing ecosystem. You'll own TransferGo's Martech ecosystem, CMS, marketing systems, automation, analytics, and AI-powered tooling, and make sure it runs at the pace and quality the marketing team needs to grow.

You'll manage two WordPress contract developers, lead cross-functional projects, and build the internal systems infrastructure that reduces our dependency on external engineering. A key part of the role is identifying where AI and automation can meaningfully reduce manual work, and turning those opportunities into practical, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Martech Ecosystem Ownership

  • Own the full Martech stack across CMS, marketing systems, automation, analytics, and AI-supported workflows.
  • Define and execute a technical roadmap aligned to web-first acquisition OKRs.
  • Act as the primary decision-maker on tool selection, integration, and deprecation.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through AI and automation, and lead the implementation of practical solutions.
  • Maintain stability, quality, and performance across all marketing systems.

Technical Execution

  • Oversee all CMS and WordPress development, providing clear direction and quality control to two contract developers.
  • Be hands-on when needed: building custom blocks, SEO-optimised components, or integrations that unblock the team.
  • Lead integrations between the website, marketing platforms, analytics (GTM, GA4), and automation systems.
  • Proactively identify technical risks and improvements across the marketing infrastructure.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work within a cross-functional squad (Project Manager, Designers, Copywriters, Content Specialists) to translate business goals into well-scoped, estimable tasks.
  • Bridge the gap between marketing needs and technical delivery — translating strategy into executable roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering on shared infrastructure and tooling.

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves

  • Proven experience in a Martech, digital operations, or technical marketing role.
  • Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (WordPress strongly preferred), marketing systems including CRM and automation tools, and analytics.
  • Experience building or integrating AI-driven workflows, agents, or orchestration tools (e.g. LangGraph, n8n, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of web integrations, API-based workflows, and marketing analytics (GTM, GA4).
  • Experience managing or overseeing developers, freelancers, or technical contractors.
  • An ownership mindset: you take initiative, drive execution, and improve things without being asked.
  • Strong communication skills — comfortable working across marketing, product, and engineering stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience leading cross-functional technical or Martech initiatives from scoping to delivery.
  • Interest in testing emerging tools and a track record of driving practical digital innovation.
  • Familiarity with Wordpress and programmatic SEO at scale.

How Success Is Measured

  • Martech systems are stable, well-integrated, and require less manual intervention over time.
  • AI and automation initiatives are shipped, adopted, and actively improved.
  • Technical projects are delivered on time and to a high quality bar.
  • The marketing team moves faster and spends less time on repetitive operational tasks.
  • Measurable improvements in campaign performance, lead management, or conversion rates tied to Martech enhancements.
  • New tools and experiments are being tested each quarter, with clear impact.
