Overview:

The Inventory Lead supports the Inventory Manager in the daily operations of inventory control, focusing on executing inventory-related tasks, supervising Inventory Associates, and maintaining a highly organized back-of-house and front-of-house supply of inventory. The Lead ensures procedures are followed and that the product is stored and handled correctly, maintaining quality and compliance. The Lead also plays a crucial role in the oversight of inventory turnover and assists retail management in optimizing inventory processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

 Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels using inventory management software such as Dutchie, Lucid ID, and where applicable, Metrc.
  • Oversee the processing and storage of incoming inventory.
  • Tag and label inventory and update system records.
  • Assist with daily inventory counts and reconciliations.
  • Train staff on proper inventory handling and compliance.
  • Support the Inventory Manager with data entry and record-keeping.
  • Supervise Inventory Associates and delegate tasks.
  • Supervise that all inventory restock is done before the end of shift by the Inventory Associate or Inventory Manager on duty.
  • Ensure that all End of Batch Metrc Tags are completed prior to end of shift.
  • Assist with conducting weekly audits and reporting any variances.
  • Ensure all variances are investigated to their full ability. Holding employees accountable when mistakes are made.
  • Maintain and organize back stock and ensure products are correctly stored. Confirming all inventory has the pertinent Metrc tag with it.
  • Ensure inventory areas are clean and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Help develop strategies to optimize inventory control procedures.
  • Update inventory records and reconcile weekly shipments.
  • Attend weekly meetings with Supply Chain, General Manager (GM), & Inventory Manager for open communication and alignment, ensuring that inventory operations are well-integrated with overall store management and supply chain processes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent required
  • 2+ years of previous inventory experience.
  • Marijuana knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Must be over 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid State-Issued ID or U.S. Passport.
  • Must be able to either sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have no scheduling restrictions.
  • Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment background checks. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds. 
  • Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking for extended periods.
