ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS: 

Responsibilities: 

  • Professionally design and develop innovative design solutions and products in a fast-paced team environment. 
  • Provide solid modeling and prototype support on technology development and new product development projects. 
  • Using sound engineering principles refine concepts into reliable designs that meet performance, compliance, product integrity and aesthetic requirements. 
  • Design for manufacturability, for China production environments. 
  • Generate part specifications, including detailed drawings and specifications. 
  • Communicate design to team members and China factories. 
  • Perform product prototyping and testing, write test requests and obtain quotes from internal and external sources. 
  • Support continuous improvement of existing products. 

 

 

Experience required:   

  • Around 5-8 years’ experience in product development in high volume consumer products, Mobile Robotic products preferred. 
  • 3D CAD proficiency, design experience in multiple processes such as: plastic injection molding, die-casting, sheet metal, machining processes, and assembly processes. 
  • Experience working effectively in a cross-functional team environment is essential. 
  • Good knowledge of Design processes, including DFME, FEA, DFM etc. 

 

Education background required:  

BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or Mechatronics 

  

Functional Skills/Knowledge: 

  • Good command of English speaking and writing. 
  • Ability to work with flexible adaptable teams and processes that embrace and cope with change and uncertainty. 
  • Ability to support at least multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Detail-oriented, versatile, organized, articulate and professional. 

  

Other Requirements  

  • Traveling to supplier factory / staying in factory is required 
  • Occasional international travel to visit suppliers or other SharkNinja offices may be required. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and work overtime if required at peak project times.
