Your Role

We're looking for our next Senior Developer to be based in Napier or work remotely from another city in New Zealand. As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a key role in the agile Engineering Team; designing, developing, modifying, documenting, unit testing and deploying complex software to the highest level of quality whilst mentoring more junior members of the squad. 

Your Responsibilities 

  • Write and maintain code according to system requirements and technical specifications ensuring it meets quality standards 
  • Diagnose and correct complex production issues  
  • Direct system testing and validation procedures   
  • Identify technology limitations in current application and code, proposing and implementing alternative solutions 
  • Provide technical guidance, support and mentorship to junior team members

Your Experience 

  • 5+ years software engineering experience
  • Proficiency in .NET 4.7+, C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core and SQL Server 
  • Experienced in Vue.js, React or similar JavaScript frameworks
  • Skills to build great web applications with HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript   
  • Experience developing solutions for the Cloud/SaaS technical web environments - particularly, experience working with the Microsoft Azure platform
  • An ability to write beautiful code that runs quickly and robustly - and initiative to debug, fix and improve existing code
  • A flair for developing excellent user interface and experience
