The Role: 

As a Technical Lead at Prezzee, you’ll drive engineering excellence by guiding a distributed team of developers to deliver secure, high-quality solutions across multiple tech stacks. You’ll combine deep technical expertise with strong people leadership—leading by example through architecture design, hands-on coding, and ownership of CI/CD pipelines and production releases.

You’ll play a key role in building and scaling high-performing distributed teams, fostering collaboration across time zones, and ensuring clear communication, alignment, and delivery. Alongside this, you’ll champion best practices, embed a DevOps mindset, and create an environment where engineers can thrive and grow.

  • React, Typescript and Next.JS 
  • Microfrontend architecture
  • GraphQL Backend for Frontend using Apollo server. 
  • MicroServices backend capable of over 100 orders per second.
  • Realtime page performance monitoring (LCP, Total Load Time, etc..) in Datadog

Key Responsibilities:

You’ll lead frontend performance and optimisation across Prezzee’s web platform, driving measurable improvements in speed, conversion, and user experience.

  • Own Core Web Vitals, page performance, and frontend responsiveness across a React / Next.js stack
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks across rendering, network requests, and bundle size
  • Partner with Product, Design, and Growth to optimise conversion funnels and user journeys
  • Design and evolve scalable frontend architecture using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
  • Leverage monitoring and analytics tools (e.g. Sentry, Datadog, GA) to inform decisions
  • Mentor engineers and lead technical direction within the squad

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong experience building and optimising modern web apps with React, Next.js, and TypeScript 
  • Proven ability to lead and scale distributed engineering teams
  • Proven impact improving Core Web Vitals and real-world performance
  • Experience with experimentation platforms, A/B testing, or feature flagging tools
  • Drive continuous improvement to optimize engineering velocity and code quality.
