Role Summary

Ontic is hiring an Associate Software Engineer to contribute to the development of backend systems that power our SaaS platform. This role is intended for early-career engineers who are building strong foundations in backend development and software engineering practices.

You will work closely with experienced engineers to develop features, fix issues, and improve existing systems, while learning how to build scalable and reliable backend services. Your focus will be on writing high-quality code, understanding system fundamentals, and growing into an independent contributor.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Implementation

  • Contribute to building backend services and features using Java, Python, Spring Boot, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch

  • Implement well-defined tasks and components with guidance from senior engineers

  • Support the development of APIs, integrations, and backend workflows for core platform capabilities
