🔑 About The Job

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant – German Accounting (HGB) to join our growing international Finance team. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring that our German legal entities operate smoothly and complies fully with US GAAP and HGB (Handelsgesetzbuch) as well as local statutory requirements.

Reporting directly to the Accounting Director, Germany, you’ll own key aspects of local accounting, reporting, and audit coordination. You’ll also partner with our global finance team to ensure alignment with group-level reporting (US GAAP), bringing both technical expertise and a solutions-driven mindset.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong HGB knowledge with curiosity, collaboration, and a passion for purpose-driven work.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepare and review US GAAP and German GAAP (HGB) financial
    statements for the German entity.

  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings with
    accuracy and timeliness.

  • Support consolidated US, statutory and tax audits, collaborating with
    external auditors and advisors.

  • Reconcile local ledgers to Group/US GAAP reporting and resolve
    discrepancies.

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, accounting standards, and
    internal controls.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and
    Operations teams.

  • Deliver clear financial analyses and insights to support decision-making.

  • Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives
    across accounting workflows.

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (or equivalent
    qualification).

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a multinational

  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
