About the role: 

OLIVER is hiring an Copywriter to join our team! If you love to write copy for print, websites, digital content, video scripts and technical writing, then this is the role for you. The work changes from day to day, from updating a line of copy on a website one day to coming up with the next "big idea" for a campaign to writing/producing online training modules. We are looking for flexible copywriter who is open to doing a bit of this and a bit of that. Experience in the financial sector and/or regulatory issues is a bonus. This role is 75/25 creative to technical writing.   

What you will be doing: 

  • Write, research and conceptualize creative, innovative content that brings readership and encourages sharing 
  • Work on a range of projects including 360 campaigns, digital campaigns, articles, landing pages, social content and more 
  • Write short and long form articles, social captions, headlines, banner copy, website copy 
  • Ensure that the work that is delivered meets the goals of the brief 
  • Write copy that is within brand guidelines for our range of clients 
  • Write and produce guidelines, product tip sheets and case studies for the Brand  
  • Write and produce online training modules, websites and newsletters 
  • Copy editing for printed and online materials  
  • Write scripts, interview subjects and create content for the Brand’s social channels 
  • Work closely with clients to create strong concepts or technical projects from the initial brief 
  • Work closely with the Account Managers and Art Directors or Designers to take a brief from beginning to end

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • 3-5 years writing in an advertising agency or design firm  
  • 3-5 years experience writing collateral, ads, landing pages, digital content, video scripts, social content, product fact sheets 
  • Prior experience managing cross-functional projects and possess well developed project management skills as you will be working with more than one brief at a time 
  • Demonstrated ability to combine and translate complex material from different sources and contexts into stories and content that engage and resonate with target audiences 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize while adhering to project deadlines 
  • 3-5 years of experience presenting ideas to clients, the ability to clearly articulate your ideas 
  • 3-5 years of experience working with both digital and print based projects and have a solid track record of delivering big concepts and ideas with an outstanding portfolio to prove it. 
  • Enjoys working in a team-oriented and collaborative style with the ability to problem-solve  
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $63,750.00 to $71,250.00 CAD. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
