Entry-Level Systems Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an entry-level Systems Engineer to join our Architecture and Systems Engineering team. This individual will be paired with experienced engineers and will support the development of systems engineering products across the full systems engineering lifecycle. Responsibilities include requirements engineering, use case development, logical architecture modeling, and interface definition.

This role may also involve software development, database manipulation, and the use of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, while supporting the Systems Engineering V-Model (SE‑V) and Architecture Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support requirements engineering activities, including requirements definition, analysis, and traceability
  • Assist with use case development and logical architecture modeling
  • Support interface definition and documentation
  • Contribute to systems engineering products in accordance with the Architecture and Systems Engineering Management Plan (ASEMP) and related processes
  • Collaborate effectively within a team of experienced systems engineers
  • Support DoD Information Systems engineering efforts, as applicable

Required Qualifications

  • Exposure to Systems Engineering concepts, including:
    • Requirements engineering
    • Use case development
    • Logical architecture modeling
    • Interface definition
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative engineering team
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and Macros
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training or experience in one or more programming or technical areas, such as:
