Your Role:

You will be part of the Indirect Tax team, performing the below mentioned roles.

  • Compliance and Filing: Preparing, reviewing, and ensuring the timely and accurate filing of Indirect Tax returns. Performing complex tax calculations and reconciliations. Handling tax registration, amendments and refunds.
  • Advisory and Research: Conducting research on tax laws and regulations to provide accurate advice to internal and external stakeholders. Determining the correct taxability of company transactions, products and services.
  • Audit and Litigation Management: Preparing information and reconciliations required for tax audits and inquiries by tax authorities. Assisting in drafting responses to show cause notices, appeals and managing tax disputes/assessments. Liaising with tax authorities and external consiultants.
  • Data and Systems: Reconciling tax payable and receivable accounts to returns and financials with a strong understanding of SAP functions. Ensuring tax treatment is correctly configured in SAP systems and tax softwares.
  • Process Improvement: Reviewing and streamlining indirect tax processes using automations to improve efficiency thereby saving mandays and reduce audit risk. Executing internal controls over the indirect tax process.

Who You are:

1. Basic/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.Com) with 8+ years of experience/Master’s Degree (M.Com) with 6-8 years’ experience.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Indirect Tax function
  • SAP knowledge
  • Should be working for a longer period in a company
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • 2. Preferred Requirements:
  • CA/LLB would be an added advantage
  • Well versed in regional language like Marathi
  • Strong proven track record of getting GST refunds for the company.
  • Expertise in automation processes.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Pharmaceutical/Life Science/Chemical Manufacturing background.
