Based out of Mather’s Headquarters office in Evanston, IL, this hybrid, full-time role blends strategic vision with hands-on execution to bring Mather’s signature Person-Centric Wellness Model to life across our communities. The role includes regular in-person collaboration at Mather’s headquarters in Evanston, Illinois, and in-person support at our premier wellness destinations in Illinois, Arizona, and Virginia. Frequent travel and in-person engagement are key to delivering exceptional wellness experiences and advancing Mather’s forward-thinking approach.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Program Leadership & Innovation
    • Drive implementation of Mather’s Person-Centric Wellness Model across communities, ensuring programs reflect autonomy, affiliation, and achievement.
    • Lead development and rollout of innovative fitness and wellness programs, including strength training, mobility, functional movement, and recovery practices.
    • Launch and evaluate pilot programs, gather feedback, and scale successful initiatives.
  • On-Site Team Support & Training
    • Mentor and coach community fitness teams, ensuring program excellence and alignment with Mather’s wellness vision.
    • Conduct site visits and virtual check-ins to provide training, share best practices, and support onboarding and continuing education.
  • Team Member Wellness & Engagement
    • Collaborate with leadership to design and deliver team member wellness programs, including fitness challenges and experiential offerings.
  • Data, Quality & Collaboration
    • Track engagement and outcomes, analyze program success, and contribute to reports demonstrating measurable impact.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Wellness Management, or related field.
  • Nationally recognized fitness certification (ACE, NASM, ACSM, NSCA) required.
  • 5+ years of experience in fitness or wellness program management, preferably in multi-site or settings.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel 40-50%.

Preferred:

  • Mind-body specialization/ certifications (RYT-200/500, Pilates, Breathwork, Mindfulness).
  • Experience implementing resident and employee wellness programs.

The salary range for this position is a good faith estimate of the range Mather reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. The actual wage paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, geographic location and market changes.  Holiday Bonus eligibility, where applicable. The position is also eligible to participate in Mather benefit plans.

$76,500$84,000 USD
