About the Role 

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced Director, Consulting to join our growing team in Amsterdam. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of JLL's Consulting practice in the Netherlands while leveraging our global platform to deliver transformational outcomes for clients. 

In this highly visible role, you will drive business growth, lead complex client engagements, and build deep relationships with multinational corporations and mid-cap companies across the Dutch market. You'll have the freedom and backing to develop our consulting capabilities locally while tapping into JLL's worldwide expertise and integrated service lines. 

This role combines strategic client delivery with revenue generation and business development, offering significant autonomy to an individual who thrives in a OneJLL, collaborative environment. While initially an individual contributor role (with managing teams on a project basis), there is a clear path to team leadership as you grow the practice.

What This Role Involves 

Client Engagement & Delivery Excellence 

  • Lead and deliver high-impact consulting engagements for Fortune 500 and mid-cap clients across multiple service areas: 

  • Portfolio Strategy:Optimize real estate footprints to accelerate evolving business strategies (e.g., supporting a global industrial multinational in transforming their portfolio to align with shifting operations) 

  • Target Operating Model Design: Redesign CRE functions, organizational structures, and governance frameworks (e.g., reimagining the remit and design of a CRE organization for a large life sciences company) 

  • Location Strategy:Identify optimal headquarters and facility locations based on talent availability, sustainability, risk, and cost metrics (e.g., guiding site selection for new corporate headquarters in the Netherlands) 

  • CRE Transformation: Support clients through mergers & acquisitions, cost optimization, and governance enhancements 

  • Apply structured consulting methodologies to scope, frame, and deliver projects that exceed client expectations 

  • Manage project quality, timelines, and stakeholder relationships to ensure flawless execution 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, influencing strategic decision-making 

Business Development & Revenue Growth 

  • Drive approximately$750K - $1M in revenue contribution per annum through new client acquisition and account expansion 

  • Develop and present compelling proposals to prospects and existing clients 

  • Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities within the Dutch market 

  • Cultivate long-term client relationships that generate recurring engagement opportunities 

  • Collaborate with JLL's Transaction Management, Project Management, Facilities Management, and Brokerage teams to unlock cross-selling opportunities and deliver integrated solutions 

Platform Building & Leadership 

  • Understand and leverage JLL's global Consulting platform, tools, and best practices 

  • Contribute to the development of methodologies, frameworks, and intellectual capital

About You 

Required Qualifications 

Experience: 

  • 9-12 years of experience successfully leading and delivering consulting engagements for occupier clients related to Commercial Real Estate Strategy 

  • Demonstrated expertise in areas such as Portfolio Optimization, Cost Optimization, Portfolio Strategy (M&A-related), Location Strategy, Target Operating Model design, Workplace Strategy, and Future of Work 

  • Proven track record influencing and building relationships at the senior executive level (C-suite, VP-level stakeholders) 

  • Experience working with large global corporates and navigating complex, matrixed organizations 

  • Background in Big 4 consulting firms or specialized CRE/workplace consulting practices is strongly preferred 

Technical & Analytical Skills: 

  • Expertise in structured consulting methodologies and frameworks 

  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to synthesize complex data, develop insights, and craft actionable recommendations 

  • Proficiency in delivering polished client presentations and executive-level communications 

Language & Location: 

  • Fluency in Dutch is strongly preferred to effectively serve the local client base 

  • Working in a hybrid model with regular presence in the Amsterdam office 

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as client engagements require 

Education:
