Overview

IE Engineer on our team, you'll be part of a collaborative group responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and uptime across all systems; working closely with other IT teams to troubleshoot issues, manage upgrades, and proactively identify potential network vulnerabilities, while staying current with emerging network technologies.  

Responsibilities

  • Support platform strategies, migration plans, and technical assistance for low to high level complexity projects.
  • Tests and evaluates systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
  • Prepares Operational Support procedures and contribute to knowledge transfer to the Systems Operations to ensure a smooth onboarding of new deployments
  • Implement and manage the network and security systems within a secure multi-tenant cloud (AWS, and GCP) & On-prem environment.
  • Works in support of implementing standard designs from the Network Engineering team for Infrastructure projects including configuring, troubleshooting, documentation, optimization and requirements gathering for the Systems Operations
  • Provides direct support, including after hours as a on-call engineer for production related issues.
  • Provides engineering expertise in identification of process improvement and automation opportunities
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of different Network and Cloud technologies and supporting solution areas and develop new technology integrations and solution capabilities.
  • Research, evaluate and stay ahead of curve on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.
  • Demonstrate strong ‘Consultative based mindset’ with strong listening and collaboration skill for uncovering unmet technology-based needs and translating the requirements into strategic solutions

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of validated experience in managing, provisioning, and implementing infrastructure technologies in a medium to large globally diverse environment hands-on configuration of Hybrid Infrastructure Environments
  • Ability to write detailed methods of procedure and maintain documentation including the creation of Visio/Lucid Charts diagrams.
  • Infrastructure Automation experience with Python and/or Ansible strongly preferred.
  • Troubleshooting skills across various infrastructure platforms
  • Basic knowledge with an Agile Scrum framework with the ability to work on stories in sprints
