About the Role

We’re hiring a Senior Director, Credit Strategy to build and lead our credit function at FloatMe. As our Senior Director, Credit Strategy, you’ll set strategic priorities, optimize our processes, and help to drive cutting edge automation for high volume. We’re a small, nimble team which means this role requires the flexibility to switch gears between tactical execution on the front line and strategic planning and execution. The ideal fit for this role has deep knowledge of consumer credit risk, optimal processes, and customer success strategies. We are looking for someone who is highly detail oriented, leads with strategy, and collaborative. This role reports to our CEO. What You’ll Do

  • Develop, build, and operationalize our credit portfolio focused on balancing growth vs. risk with an end goal of minimizing our loss rate.

  • Optimize our efforts to reduce bad debt and loss rates across current and future FloatMe products while delivering on our business goals.

  • Drive our credit risk philosophy for new and existing customers, understanding different levers and acceptable risk.

  • Work with our internal Data Engineering team to improve our processes and learnings through machine learning.

  • Consistently review data and deliver results on credit risk, user trends, and adjust our thresholds accordingly.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Compliance, Product, Engineering and Member Support to reduce bad debt while keeping our users top of mind.
