Key Takeaways

  • 75% of U.S. employers use automated applicant tracking systems to screen resumes before a human reviews them (Harvard Business School & Accenture, 2021)
  • The most common ATS failures are missing keywords, incompatible formatting, and incorrect file types
  • ResumeGeni scores your resume across 8 parsing layers — modeled on the same steps enterprise ATS platforms like Workday, Greenhouse, and Taleo use to evaluate candidates

How ATS Resume Scoring Works

Applicant tracking systems parse your resume into structured data — extracting your name, contact info, work history, skills, and education — then score how well that data matches the job requirements. Many ATS rejections happen because the parser couldn't extract critical fields, not because the candidate wasn't qualified.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is ResumeGeni free?
Yes. ResumeGeni is currently in beta — ATS analysis, scoring, and initial improvement suggestions are free with no signup required. Full guidance and saved reports may require a free account.
What file formats are supported?
PDF, DOCX, DOC, TXT, RTF, ODT, and Apple Pages. PDF and DOCX are recommended for best ATS compatibility.
How is the ATS score calculated?
Your resume is processed through an 8-layer parsing pipeline that extracts structured data the same way enterprise ATS platforms do. The score reflects how completely and accurately your resume can be parsed, plus how well your content matches common ATS ranking criteria.
Can ATS read PDF resumes?
Yes, but not all PDFs are equal. Text-based PDFs parse well. Image-only PDFs (scanned documents) and PDFs with complex tables or multi-column layouts often fail ATS parsing. Our analyzer will flag these issues.
How do I improve my ATS score?
Focus on three areas: use a clean single-column format, include keywords from the job description naturally in your experience bullets, and ensure all sections (contact, experience, education, skills) use standard headings.

EUTELSAT GENDER EQUALITY INDEX

Achieving professional equality between women and men: a legal obligation, but also a major priority and a continuous area of progress in the management of our human resources.

The Gender Equality Index is mandated by the French law on professional agency, effective from 5 September 2018. This law most notably seeks to eliminate the pay gap between women and men in France.

Eutelsat publishes the results of its 2026 Gender Equality Index for the year 2025.
Our gender equality score is 92/100.

The index is calculated based on five indicators:

  • Pay gap: 37/40
  • Gap in individual salary increases: 20/20
  • Promotion gap: 15/15
  • Percentage of women receiving a salary increase in the year following their return from maternity leave: 15/15
  • Number of employees of the underrepresented gender among the 10 highest-paid employees: 5/10

Empowering tomorrow's talent

At Eutelsat, supporting young professionals is an integral part of our social responsibility. We are proud to have been awarded the HappyTrainees 2026 label, which recognizes companies offering students and young graduates an enriching, stimulating, and supportive experience.

This recognition follows the results of the latest satisfaction survey, in which over 90% of our interns and apprentices in France said they would recommend Eutelsat as an employer.

Throughout the year, numerous initiatives, driven by our HR teams and apprentices, help foster integration, collaboration, and team spirit among our young professionals. From onboarding sessions to afterwork events, each initiative contributes to building a dynamic and inclusive community.

This label reinforces our ambition to create a positive and empowering work environment, where every generation contributes to shaping a more inclusive and sustainable future.
