Purpose of the role:

The role will support the day‑to‑day running of the warehouse and ensure the efficient supply of parts across both warehouse sites, using the company van to transport materials as required. Key responsibilities include packaging, despatching, and delivering goods for internal transfer between sites in line with an agreed schedule to maintain a consistent supply of materials to all departments.

The postholder will be responsible for transporting materials between sites, completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, and producing daily goods and materials manifests using the ERP system. Duties also include receiving, counting, checking, sorting, and booking stock onto the ERP system, moving materials within the warehouses, and using a forklift to prepare items for collection by external carriers or waste contractors. The role requires a strong understanding of and adherence to work instructions for the correct storage of all materials, maintaining clean and tidy work areas, and full compliance with all health and safety requirements always.
