  • The Content Capabilities team is a growing group on a mission to power the next 10x growth of the Box Content Cloud. We’re building innovative platform capabilities that help product teams and customers create smarter, more intuitive experiences for millions of users. We’ve just delivered our first features - unlocking new ways for people to collaborate - and we’re only getting started. With a strong roadmap ahead, this is an exciting time to join a small, talented, and fun team tackling some of the toughest backend challenges in the content management space.

  • Relay team works together to delight our users by enabling them to automate routine tasks. Our products save users time and deliver results in consistent manner. As our team in Poland continues to grow and take on building new product, we are looking for a seasoned engineer who can own large components of the system and work independently. In this role, your work will impact millions of users, who use Relay to get their work done on a daily basis.
  • The Shuttle team is building the next generation of content migration for Box - making it faster and easier for customers to move their content from on-prem systems and other cloud platforms into Box. It’s a key initiative that helps enterprises bring more of their content  and its value  into the Box ecosystem. We’re wrapping up a major architectural upgrade and shifting our focus to efficiency, speed, and scalability. As Box’s dedicated bulk migration tool, Shuttle doesn’t just move files, it brings all the valuable metadata and context that come with them, so customers can instantly tap into Box’s intelligent content management. We’re also expanding global support to ensure content lands exactly where customers need it, anywhere in the world.

  • The Box Search team powers content discovery for millions of users and hundreds of billions of documents across Box. As customers store more and more content, Search has become the essential way for people to quickly find what they need to get work done, whether on web, mobile, desktop, or through our Search API. We’re now taking things to the next level with the Search Platform a powerful layer that enables internal teams to build new user experiences and features on top of our core Search capabilities. This means combining existing infrastructure with new, scalable services that make Search faster, smarter, and easier to integrate across Box products.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop high-quality, scalable, and responsive software using modern technologies.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using industry best practices.
  • Work effectively with Designers, Product Managers and cross-functional global teams to deliver to deliver the high quality software and seamless user experience.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and improve team efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software defects to ensure smooth functionality.
  • Collaborate effectively in an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Participate in our on-call rotation, available at all times while on-call to help respond to and triage any issues that arise.

Who you are: 

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong coding skills with demonstrated proficiency in one ot the following programming languages such as Java, Python, Scala or PHP
  • Familiarity with Node.js is a plus
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or Amazon Web Services.
  • Skilled in designing and developing APIs.
  • Proven ability to design, build, and deploy high-quality software.
  • Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming.
  • Passionate about new technologies with the capability to implement them in existing products.
  • Demonstrates ownership mentality and strives for excellence in both technical work and team interactions.
