Ashfield MedComms (AMC) is seeking a Global Medical Director to drive business growth across the US market and support global expansion initiatives. This is a senior, high-visibility role within the AMC Global Growth Team, offering meaningful strategic influence and direct engagement with senior pharma stakeholders.

This position plays a critical role in shaping AMC’s future growth and represents an opportunity to step into a leadership role with real commercial and strategic impact.

 

The Role

As Global Medical Director, you will serve as a senior scientific and strategic partner to clients, leading high-level growth conversations and shaping new business opportunities across medical affairs and promotional medical education.

While the role is US-focused, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across AMC’s global organization and the broader Inizio Medical network, contributing to proposals, pitches, and innovation-led growth initiatives.

This role is ideal for a seasoned medical communications leader who is credible with senior client levels, confident driving strategic discussions, and motivated by winning and growing business.

 

Key Responsibilities

New Business & Growth

  • Lead and shape high-value new business opportunities, particularly in medical affairs and promotional medical education.
  • Act as a senior scientific and strategic voice in client discussions, positioning AMC as a long-term partner.
  • Lead and drive proposal and pitch development, ensuring clear value propositions and compelling scientific narratives for pharma decision-makers.
  • Partner with global Growth colleagues to build and convert a strong new business pipeline.

Client Strategy & Engagement

  • Engage directly with senior pharma and biotech stakeholders to understand challenges and identify growth opportunities.
  • Support early-stage opportunity shaping and strategic growth conversations, with a primary focus on the US market.
  • Build and maintain strong industry relationships that support long-term growth.

Scientific & Strategic Leadership

  • Apply deep medical communications expertise to proposal strategy, pitch development, and solution design.
