Key Takeaways

  • 75% of U.S. employers use automated applicant tracking systems to screen resumes before a human reviews them (Harvard Business School & Accenture, 2021)
  • The most common ATS failures are missing keywords, incompatible formatting, and incorrect file types
  • ResumeGeni scores your resume across 8 parsing layers — modeled on the same steps enterprise ATS platforms like Workday, Greenhouse, and Taleo use to evaluate candidates

How ATS Resume Scoring Works

Applicant tracking systems parse your resume into structured data — extracting your name, contact info, work history, skills, and education — then score how well that data matches the job requirements. Many ATS rejections happen because the parser couldn't extract critical fields, not because the candidate wasn't qualified.

Layout analysisTables, columns, headers, footersMulti-column layouts break field extraction
Section detectionExperience, education, skills headingsNon-standard headings cause sections to be missed
Field mappingName, email, phone, dates, titlesMissing contact info is a common cause of immediate rejection

Frequently Asked Questions

Is ResumeGeni free?
Yes. ResumeGeni is currently in beta — ATS analysis, scoring, and initial improvement suggestions are free with no signup required. Full guidance and saved reports may require a free account.
What file formats are supported?
PDF, DOCX, DOC, TXT, RTF, ODT, and Apple Pages. PDF and DOCX are recommended for best ATS compatibility.
How is the ATS score calculated?
Your resume is processed through an 8-layer parsing pipeline that extracts structured data the same way enterprise ATS platforms do. The score reflects how completely and accurately your resume can be parsed, plus how well your content matches common ATS ranking criteria.
Can ATS read PDF resumes?
Yes, but not all PDFs are equal. Text-based PDFs parse well. Image-only PDFs (scanned documents) and PDFs with complex tables or multi-column layouts often fail ATS parsing. Our analyzer will flag these issues.
How do I improve my ATS score?
Focus on three areas: use a clean single-column format, include keywords from the job description naturally in your experience bullets, and ensure all sections (contact, experience, education, skills) use standard headings.

Archera works closely with Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and a broad network of software and services partners to help each customer execute upon a bespoke, financially-prudent cloud growth and success strategy.

Position Overview

Archera is looking for a Senior Growth Marketing Manager who is primarily a content operator — someone who owns the content engine from ideation through execution, with the range to support growth initiatives when it counts. This role is responsible for driving organic visibility and qualified pipeline through SEO/AEO, building and maintaining email nurture programs and automations, producing original content across formats, repurposing assets across channels, and creating high-value gated resources like playbooks and guides. About 30% of the role supports bookended demand generation campaigns and other growth channels in partnership with marketing leadership.

If you are a self-starter who has built content programs at a B2B SaaS company from the ground up, can write well, understand how organic search and answer engines are evolving, and know how to tie content to pipeline,  this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute SEO and GEO strategy (including keyword + topic cluster research, page optimization, and AI search visibility)
  • Build, write, and ship original content from scratch across formats: long-form editorial (blogs, deep dives, guides), short-form copy (email, social, ad creative), case studies, and thought leadership, without waiting to be assigned topics
  • Repurpose existing content across channels
  • Design and build email nurtures and automations, including persona-based drip sequences and triggered workflows.
  • Produce gated content pieces (playbooks, research reports, templates, and how-to guides) from concept through design brief, copy, and launch
  • Collaborate on website messaging and landing page copy.  Run A/B tests and CRO motions.
  • Collaborate with SMEs across Product, Sales, and Customer Success to generate campaigns, customer stories, and use cases that fuel the content calendar
  • Support demand generation campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels
  • Assist with other growth channel initiatives (webinars, co-marketing, partner content, events) as needed, contributing ideas and flagging opportunities.
  • Track and report on content performance metrics (organic traffic, MQLs, engagement, asset downloads, pipeline contribution) and use data to iterate.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in content, performance, or demand generation marketing at a B2B SaaS or technology company, ideally with experience at a scaleup or growth-stage company where you had to build rather than maintain
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills: long-form editorial, short-form copy, email, landing pages, and gated assets
  • Demonstrated track record of building and executing SEO and AEO/GEO programs that drove measurable organic traffic growth and pipeline contribution
  • Experience building email nurture programs and automations in HubSpot (or comparable MAP)
  • Strong understanding of modern search, including AI-driven discovery
  • Data-fluent: comfortable in GA4, HubSpot reporting, or similar tools to track content performance and iterate based on what you find
  • Strong familiarity and interest in AI optimizations in day-to-day work.  Utilizing AI tools, building agents and automation, etc.

Nice to Have

  • Background in fintech, cloud infrastructure, FinOps, or enterprise B2B SaaS
  • Experience with video content, webinar production, or podcast content as a format you’ve operated (not just contributed to)
  • Working knowledge of paid social and/or paid search (LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads),  enough to write effective ad copy and understand what makes paid content work alongside organic
  • Familiarity with ABM platforms, intent data tools, or marketing attribution tools (e.g., 6sense, Clearbit, Demandbase)

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity package
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) plan
  • Flexible PTO policy
  • Remote-first culture
  • Opportunity to shape and scale a category-defining FinTech platform
