What you will do:

  • Own hands-on testing while progressively building automation

  • Define automation scope, select high-value test cases, set up framework + execution approach, maintain scalable automated tests.

  • Ensure release confidence across several Android apps in a fast-paced environment.

  • Update coverage quickly as requirements change; identify edge cases early; proactively highlight risk areas.

  • Communicate bugs/risks clearly to devs/PMs/design; drive a quality-first mindset and continuous improvement.

  • Analyze functional + technical documentation to create/maintain: test plans, test cases, and regression suites for new features

  • Clarify requirements/expected behavior early; ensure acceptance criteria are testable

  • Execute functional, smoke, regression, and exploratory testing across mobile (Android primary) and relevant web surfaces.

  • Validate fixes and assess regression impact before releases

  • Create and maintain automated test scripts 

  • Run automated suites, analyze output, and distinguish defects vs flakiness vs environment issues.

  • Identify, document, and track defects with high-quality reports (clear repro, expected vs actual, evidence, environment/device context)

  • Work closely with developers, product, and design to uphold quality benchmarks throughout the development cycle

  • 3–5 years in Quality Assurance.

  • Proven hands-on experience in manual testing of mobile applications.

  • At least ~1 year exposure to test automation (implementation or contribution).

  • Experience setting up or contributing to an automation framework is a strong advantage.

  • Experience in automated mobile testing for React Native or similar

  • Experience in QA automation using tools like maestro or similar.

  • Relevant experience with testing  mobile apps (Android primary; iOS awareness is a plus) using React Native

  • Basic REST API validation and troubleshooting

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with diverse coworkers.

  • Fluency in English, demonstrating proficiency in both speaking and writing.
