Key Takeaways

  • 75% of U.S. employers use automated applicant tracking systems to screen resumes before a human reviews them (Harvard Business School & Accenture, 2021)
  • The most common ATS failures are missing keywords, incompatible formatting, and incorrect file types
  • ResumeGeni scores your resume across 8 parsing layers — modeled on the same steps enterprise ATS platforms like Workday, Greenhouse, and Taleo use to evaluate candidates

How ATS Resume Scoring Works

Applicant tracking systems parse your resume into structured data — extracting your name, contact info, work history, skills, and education — then score how well that data matches the job requirements. Many ATS rejections happen because the parser couldn't extract critical fields, not because the candidate wasn't qualified.

Layout analysisTables, columns, headers, footersMulti-column layouts break field extraction
Section detectionExperience, education, skills headingsNon-standard headings cause sections to be missed
Field mappingName, email, phone, dates, titlesMissing contact info is a common cause of immediate rejection

Frequently Asked Questions

Is ResumeGeni free?
Yes. ResumeGeni is currently in beta — ATS analysis, scoring, and initial improvement suggestions are free with no signup required. Full guidance and saved reports may require a free account.
What file formats are supported?
PDF, DOCX, DOC, TXT, RTF, ODT, and Apple Pages. PDF and DOCX are recommended for best ATS compatibility.
How is the ATS score calculated?
Your resume is processed through an 8-layer parsing pipeline that extracts structured data the same way enterprise ATS platforms do. The score reflects how completely and accurately your resume can be parsed, plus how well your content matches common ATS ranking criteria.
Can ATS read PDF resumes?
Yes, but not all PDFs are equal. Text-based PDFs parse well. Image-only PDFs (scanned documents) and PDFs with complex tables or multi-column layouts often fail ATS parsing. Our analyzer will flag these issues.
How do I improve my ATS score?
Focus on three areas: use a clean single-column format, include keywords from the job description naturally in your experience bullets, and ensure all sections (contact, experience, education, skills) use standard headings.

Role Overview

We are seeking a growth specialist to join our Distribution team and take charge of user acquisition for an international market(s).

In this role, you will act as the Country Lead, owning the growth strategy, managing the budget, and executing campaigns to hit DAU targets. This role requires a strong balance of data analysis and cultural knowhow to ensure our strategy adapts effectively to the local market.

You are:

  • Data Obsessed: You don't just read high-level metrics; you dig deep into cohort analysis, retention curves, and granular performance data to uncover why growth happens.

  • A UA Expert: You have a proven track record of meeting DAU and growth objectives for mobile apps (social or dating space is a plus).

  • Culturally Aware: You understand how to adapt global strategies to fit the nuances of local markets.

  • Operationally Excellent: You are comfortable coordinating with external partners or freelancers and managing significant budgets.

  • Rigorous & Detail Oriented: Speaks for itself. Either you are or aren’t.

  • Willing to Travel: You are ready to travel frequently to your target market to oversee operations on the ground.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage Campaigns & Budget: Oversee a substantial UA budget across channels like TikTok, Google, Meta and any channels that work best in your market. You will make hourly, data-driven decisions to maximize efficiency and volume.

  • Analyze Creative Performance: You will act as the bridge between data and content. You will analyze creative performance to identify trends and provide the content team with actionable feedback on what resonates in your market.

  • Own Market Strategy: You will define the growth roadmap for your specific country, ensuring alignment between paid acquisition, creative production, and local activations.

  • Monitor Market Trends: Not only will you stay ahead of competitor strategies and emerging trends within your specific region, but you’ll be so obsessed that locals would think you’re from the market you’re covering.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in user acquisition for mobile apps.

  • Advanced analytical skills: Ability to interpret complex data sets (retention, cohorts, Funnel conversion) to drive strategy.

  • Proven ability to manage and optimize high UA budgets.

  • Experience working closely with product and marketing teams.

  • Must be willing to work in-person in Paris.

  • Bonus if you speak any of the following languages: Ukrainian, Polish, Arabic, Italian, Hebrew, Hungarian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Romanian, Portuguese. Other languages are also a plus.

Life at amo:

To ensure that everyone is set up for success within our way of working, we work together onsite 5 days a week. We wanted to make sure coming to the office is as comfortable as possible for you:

  • We chose a location in central Paris, near Opera (Metro lines 3,8,9 and RER A).

  • We have a beautiful Parisian-style office with high ceilings, balconies, and huge windows. So a lot of natural light!

  • We reimburse your commuting expenses 50%.

Because life outside of work should also be stress-free, we cover:

  • Health care (100% coverage).

  • Maternity Leave, Paternity Leave, Second Parent Leave (salary maintained at 100%).

We shut down entirely twice a year, two weeks in the summer and one week in the winter to allow everyone to truly recharge and to avoid prolonged slowdowns (especially in the summer). This enables everyone to actually disconnect and enjoy their vacation. No Slack, no email, no FOMO. Per French standard, we also offer another 4 weeks to allow team members to choose when they want to take time off.

We love the diverse perspectives we get from having people from all over the world join us, and so we of course support relocation to Paris with:

  • Help and sponsored visa process.

  • 1 month of Airbnb 100% covered by amo upon arrival.

  • Assistance from Settlesweet to find your permanent home.

  • Help with french paperwork like opening a french social security account, tax forms and more.

  • French lessons to be fully set with your new Parisian life.
